‘Gay hate list’: Farah, Perkins, Colson, more

‘Gay hate list’: Farah, Perkins, Colson, more

Bill Donohue
WASHINGTON – The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has created an enemies list of 36 commentators – including pastors, authors, radio talk-show hosts, pro-family activists and researchers – in an effort to limit the effectiveness of their media outreach.
The list includes Chuck Colson, Joseph Farah, Tony Perkins, Don Wildmon, David Barton, Bill Donohue and Gary Bauer.
The formulation of the list is the work of GLAAD’s “Commentator Accountability Project” that aims to “educate the media about the extreme rhetoric of over three dozen activists who are often given a platform to speak in opposition to LGBT people and the issues that affect their lives.”
Don Wildmon
“Hate is not an expert opinion,” said GLAAD’s Herndon Graddick. “In most cases, news outlets invite reputable experts to speak on the subject at hand, but when talking about LGBT issues, open hostility and anti-LGBT bias seems to be all the credibility required. This project holds these so-called ‘pundits’ accountable for the extreme anti-LGBT rhetoric they continue to spread.”
GLAAD encourages individuals to alert the organization when those on the enemies list appear on local or national news.
In response, Farah said he has never spoken a hateful or defamatory word about homosexuals in his life.
Chuck Colson
“The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation should more accurately be called the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Criticism,” said Farah. “These people actually believe that if you have a different viewpoint and a different value system from them you are a hate-filled, bigoted monster. Here’s a group that claims in its own name that it is ‘against defamation,’ but actively defames those with whom it has disagreements. Not one example of hateful or defamatory language is offered as evidence against any of those listed in this report.”
Matt Barber, vice president of Liberty Counsel Action, also is listed, and said, “I count it an honor to be included among such a distinguished list of pro-family warriors. As Christ followers, we will never stop speaking God’s truth in love.”
The people targeted by GLAAD include: Alan Chambers, Albert Mohler, Bill Donohue, Bob Emrich, Bob Vander Plaats, Brian Brown, Brian Camenker, Bryan Fischer, Candi Cushman, Christopher Plante, Chuck Colson, David Barton, Don Wildmon, Frank Turek, Gary Bauer, Glenn Stanton, Harry Jackson, Jennifer Roback Morse, Jim Daly, Jim Garlow, Joseph Farah, Ken Hutcherson, Kevin McCullough, Lou Engle, Maggie Gallagher, Mat Staver, Matt Barber, Michael Brown, Penny Nance, Peter LaBarbera, Peter Sprigg, Rick Scarborough, Robert George, Scott Lively, Tim Wildmon, and Tony Perkins.
McCullough, a nationally syndicated radio host and one of the 36 commentators, said it is ironic that GLAAD’s goal of “shutting people’s voices down … will somehow make their arguments more sound.”
He said, “I’ve never appeared as someone who claimed to even represent much less serve as an ‘expert’ on the private lives of the LGBT community. … When I am asked to speak on a public forum it is as a person who speaks with and interacts with millions of people daily through a media company that myself and actor Stephen Baldwin began four years ago. Because we have a platform that engages people in conversation about these things and every other cultural issue imaginable we have a good idea of how OUR constituents think.”
“Now there is an accessible hub for these quotes … to ensure that pundits don’t get away with being conservative standard-bearers without taking responsibility for the many dangerous lies and offensive values that define them.”
The Alliance Defense Fund said the project simply “targets free speech.”

it is tough to justify "degenerate " behavior no matter how you try to portray it !!!  truth has a way of finding the light !!!!!!!!!!

Kinigget, I guess you will never get to be happy because just because you "exist" doesn't mean that many people will ever accept your behavior as normal or okay because it isn't.  You may deserve to be treated kindly but your behavior is not deserving of respect.  Just learn to deal with that fact.
  •  I never put blank off list I said what it is...GLAADS HATE LIST.

    Tyler,
Bonobo monkeys are still animals.  Next stupid comment....

Tyler always brings up the bonobo monkeys.  I once replied to him about the monkeys. . ."see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."  There is no conclusive evidence. . .animal's instincts are to survive, not die out.  Now, domineering a weaker male, that's more plausible. . heck, that happens in society now.

Jerome - since you have me flagged. . . .
The difference is one wants to live equally because of
sexual preference, that's what the agenda they are promoting.  Heterosexuals do not go around promoting
their sexual preference.  How can there
be intrusion on privacy when they themselves have put their preference out
there.  This is why my brother would say,
"I hate the gay activists because they ruin it for the rest of
us."  My brother's words ring true.  My brother was accepted for who he was
without having to flounce around, his friends that didn't flounce around were
picked on also, where did this hate come from?
The homosexual community themselves. . . .my brother was not in the
closet, he was not despised, demonized, called perverted, why. . .because he lived
his live as a man based on his character.
What what private in his life was private and there is nothing wrong
    with that.
  • As the saying goes "you wouldn't put your umbrella where some people stick there penises"!  The thought of sodomy is disgusting.  Another quote: President Kenyatta (prior to such elevated position AKA Mr. Johnson, I know, I met them) of Kenya once said '...the White Man not only took our Lands in exchange for Bibles, but also taught us the ignoble art of 'sodomy!'  Via the Bible Bashers i.e. Missionaries!  Call these practicing homosexuals of either sex, what they really are 'abnormal'!

I don't think anyone would put their umbrella *anywhere* a penis might go, so there's that.  Also, homosexuality is not a western invention by any stretch of the imagination.  It existed long before there ever was a "western world".
